Trade on Day 2 of the 2012 Inglis Easter Broodmare Sale reached $3.35 million during a session that was topped by Zabeel mare Asmahan.
Wednesday’s leader sold for $200,000. Asmahan is a daughter of New Zealand Oaks winner She’s Country and was sold in foal to Magic Albert to Colm Santry Bloodstock.
Galileo mare Katsumi was knocked down to Belmont Bloodstock for $120,000 in foal to Duke Of Marmalade. She is a close relation of Pendragon three-year-old The Peak who is making waves in Hong Kong this season.
The 2012 Inglis Easter Broodmare Sale concludes on Thursday with the General Session mares from Lots 457 to 668.
