Yarradale Stud topped Day 2 of the Perth Magic Millions with a $100,000 Oratorio (Aus) colt that was purchased by Ascot trainer Trevor Andrews.
The Oratorio colt is from the stakes performed Scenic mare Academy Girl and is a half-brother to stakes performer Knightlike. “I really liked the colt,” Andrews said. “He’s a quality individual and looks a late two-year-old type. Hopefully, he can develop into a WA Guineas horse.”
Earlier on Day 1, Yarradale’s colt by Coolmore sire Rock Of Gibraltar from its G2 Karrakatta Plate winner Born Priceless made $150,000 to the bid of Dion Luciani.
Yarradale sold a half-dozen yearlings that made $100,000 or more at the Magic Millions. Dawson Stud was next best with three six-figure yearlings.
Yarradale has provisionally pencilled in Sunday, May 19 for its on-site yearling sale at Gidgegannup.
