Yarradale Stud yearling sale

Yarradale Stud will conduct its second annual yearling sale on Monday, April 26 at its Gidgegannup property in Western Australia.

The stud’s 2009 yearling sale was a great day attended by a 300 strong crowd including many of the State’s leading owners and trainers. The 2009 sale saw 26 lots sell at an average price of $35,346. There have been many impressive trial winners from the that sale and they are now primed to step out in races in the weeks ahead.

Yarradale owner Ron Sayers is a former part owner of WA Champion Northerly and part owner – breeder of Karrakatta Plate winners Brava Fortune and Born Priceless. Sayers has seen his green and gold colours claim several black-type races this season with the outstanding filly Clueless Angel successful in the G2 WA Guineas last October.

Another standout was Flying Heritage who won on debut earlier this season.  He is by Yarradale’s first-season sire Heritage and looks a great investment
for a $20,000 yearling.

“I am more than happy to retain up to a 50% interest in each yearling that’s sold on Monday,” Sayers said in the lead-up to the auction.

“I love racing horses, but who wants to stand in the winners circle on your own!” Sayers claimed. “I’m happy to race any one of my yearlings with any other owner or group of owners with any trainer who is happy to prepare it.”
