Winning week for Wyndholm Park

Victorian sire Testafiable continued a winning week for Wyndholm Park when his first winner arrived at Strathalbyn on Wednesday.

Seduction Counsel (3f Testafiable – Musk by Kaapstad) is trained by Tony McEvoy and scored by a length in the West End Draught Maiden Plate (2050m).  She is one of 12 to race by the 2006 South Australian Derby winner and made the breakthrough after 9 of his first-crop had been placed.

The victory comes hot on the heels of Wyndholm Park shuttler Captain Gerrard (Ire) who sired his first winner in England on Monday.

Seduction Counsel is a younger half-sister to stablemate Pelicano (Court Of Jewels) who won Listed races at Morphettville and Rosehill in February & March.  He is currently quoted at $26 for the Sydney Cup on April 27.

Their dam Musk (NZ) has a yearling colt by Testafiable and a filly foal by Captain Gerrard.

Testafiable was Testa Rossa’s first son at stud when he retired to Manner Lodge in 2008.  He transferred to Dr Kim McKellar’s Ballarat based Wyndholm Park the following year.

Trained by Peter Moody, Testafiable won on debut as a December two year-old at Caulfield and later that season was placed in the G1 QTC Sires’ Produce Stakes.  He claimed the G3 Carbine Club Stakes as a spring three year-old at Flemington and returned the following year for a well-deserved Group 1 in the South Australian Derby.

At the conclusion of his three year-old season, he was rated the equal of Darci Brahma and above Written Tycoon.

Testafiable is the third son of Testa Rossa to open his account this year following Publishing (Raheen Stud) and Wordsmith (Tasmania).  Wyndholm Park advertised him for a $6,600 (inc gst) service fee last year.
