Winning Vibe for Danerich

Danerich sired his fourth stakes winner on Melbourne Cup day when Richie’s Vibe nailed a Listed victory in the MSS Security Sprint (1200m).

Danerich last struck at black-type level at the 2012  Victorian Oaks meeting when Flying Skipper won the LR Fashion Stakes at Flemington.  He is also the sire of Adelaide Listed winners Classy Chloe and Heaven’s Riches.

Based at Eric Buttler’s Rangal Park Stud, Danerich is a stakes winning son of Danehill and stands for an $8,800 (inc gst) service fee at the Euroa nursery.

Richie’s Vibe (4g Danerich – Early Wakening by Hennessy) stormed home from well back in the field to win by a short head from Sea Lord and Pago Rock.  Jockey Damien Oliver was still floating on air after winning the Melbourne Cup on Fiorente an hour earlier.

“It was a good, tough effort because he got into a bit of scrimmage,” Oliver said.  “I didn’t think he was going to get there but he wore them down eventually.”

Richie’s Vibe is now with Tony Vasil after the suspension of his previous trainer Paul Beshara.  He was a $10,000 purchase from Eliza Park at the 2011 Adelaide Magic Millions and the Cup-day victory improved his record to 4 wins in 8 starts for $175,400 in prizemoney.

His dam Early Wakening changed hands for $4,000 at an Inglis Melbourne Sale in August 2004.  Her owner Dr Chris Gliddon has been a Rangal Park client for many years and the mare has a 2yo colt by Danerich and a yearling colt by Astronomer Royal.
