Weekend Updates for Magic Millions National Sale

Last start winners Kanzan, Khas Kura and Weekend Special were responsible for important updates prior to the Magic Millions National Sale.

Quality mare Kanzan boosted her record to five wins with a fast finishing G3 victory in the Glenlogan Park Stakes at Doomben.  The Peter Snowden trained mare has now won two stakes races since the catalogue was printed and has earned over $483,000.

Kanzan’s full sister Skeena (Lot 707) will go under the hammer during the first session of the National Broodmare Sale on Sunday, May 29.  Skeena is a member of the Kitchwin Hills Unreserved Dispersal Sale.

Khas Kura notched his third win with a sweeping finish at Rosehill last Saturday.  It boosted his earnings to almost $250,000.

Khas Kura (Lonhro) has won three races in Sydney and earned black-type when runner-up in the Hawkesbury Guineas.  His dam Nepal (Lot 1004) is by Quest for Fame and is a half sister to G1 winner Crawl.  She is a member of the Darley draft for the National Broodmare Sale.

Weekend Special created a good impression when he led throughout at Morphettville on Saturday.  The Mark Kavanagh prepared three-year-old was racing first-up and was eased down to score by almost two lengths.

Weekend Special is by Snitzel and is the first runner to date for the four time winning Peintre Celebre mare Frescante.  Her yearling colt by Fastnet Rock is catalogued as Lot 1944 for the National Yearling Sale on June 6.
