Waterhouse Looks Ahead to Magic Millions Classic

No Looking Back led home a quinella for Arrowfield Stud stallions in the WF 100 Club Hcp (1000m) at Warwick Farm on Saturday.

No Looking Back (2f Redoute’s Choice – Mirror Mirror by Dehere) will target the Magic Millions 2YO Classic after an eye-catching victory over stablemate Blazing Snitzel (Snitzel).

“There’s no looking back now!” trainer Gai Waterhouse said.  “She couldn’t have been more impressive.  I really loved the way she sprinted away at the finish.”

The regally bred filly is the first juvenile winner of the season for Redoute’s Choice.

The Arrowfield champion was Australia’s Champion 2YO sire for the seasons ending 2005 and 2006.  His Group 1 roll-call includes the 2YO winners Fashions Afield, Miss Finland, Musir, Nadeem, Samantha Miss and Undoubtedly.

The cleverly named No Looking Back is by Redoute’s Choice and is the first foal from 2006 Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Mirror Mirror.  She’s a member of the precocious Tennessee family.

No Looking Back was bred by John Singleton’s Strawberry Hill Stud.  At $500,000, she was the top priced filly at the 2011 Gold Coast Magic Millions for Waterhouse and managing part-owner Nick Vass.

Waterhouse has dominated the early-season juvenile division this season with Magic Millions winners Driefontein, Pure Hustle, Kuchinskaya and Pierro.

She has won the Magic Millions 2YO Classic on three occasions with Assertive Lad (2000), Excellerator (2001) and Dance Hero (2004).

The 2012 $2 million BMW Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1200m) will be run at the Gold Coast on January 14.
