Vinery to stand Onemorenomore

Vinery Stud has announced Group 1 winning juvenile Onemorenomore will join its stallion line up for 2010.  The G1 winning son of Red Ransom is from one of the best families in the stud book.

Patinack Farm has retained a significant interest in the stallion.  “He is a colt very close to my heart as he is the first Group 1 winner that we bought as a yearling,” Patinack principal Nathan Tinkler explained.

“We stand his close relative Casino Price so we are delighted to have Onemorenomore stand close by with a farm like Vinery.  It goes without saying that we will be sending some of our best mares to him.”

Onemorenomore was purchased by Patinack from Cressfield Stud for $800,000 at the 2008 Inglis Australian Easter yearling sale.  At his first start as a two year old in the spring of 2008, he was placed in the G3 AJC Breeders’ Plate and then added the Listed AJC Baillieu and G1 Champagne Stakes the following autumn.

As a spring three year old, Onemorenomore was placed at Group 1 level against the older horses before his untimely retirement due to an unfortunate training accident.

Onemorenomore’s sire Red Ransom is rapidly establishing himself as a sire of sires in Australasia with the recent success of sons such as Charge Forward, Ekraar and first season sire Domesday.

“I am delighted we have been able to secure Onemorenomore,” Vinery Stud’s general manager Peter Orton said.  “He is a magnificent looking horse who raced against and defeated some of the best two years olds in the land.  He has a great pedigree that will offer many more opportunities for broodmare owners.  With the loss of Red Ransom last season we were very keen to secure a son to take his place on our roster and hopefully, in the future stallion tables”.

Onemorenomore is from Palia, a Group 3 winning daughter of champion sire Last Tycoon.  She is a sister to the dam of Patinack’s young Flying Spur stallion Casino Prince.  A service fee for Onemorenomore’s will be announced in due course.
