Tycoon all Bizness at Moonee Valley

Written Tycoon mares Secret Toy Bizness and Vibrant Rouge showcased their sire at Moonee Valley’s double-header on the weekend.

Written Tycoon stands for a $13,750 (inc gst) service fee and his first book at Woodside Park this year will number over 150 mares.  He was previously based at Eliza Park.

Secret Toy Bizness (4m Written Tycoon – Alice In Toyland by Toy Pindarri) had won twice on home soil at Wangaratta before claiming the Triforce Subzero Hcp (1500m) on Friday night.  The grey mare is trained by John Ledger for a syndicate headed by breeder Karen Piergrosse – she kept a share after receiving $15,000 at the 2009 Inglis Melbourne Autumn yearling sale.

Vibrant Rouge snatched a last-stride victory in the City Jeep Hcp (1200m) on Cox Plate day.  The Glenn Thornton trained mare got the verdict after being locked over the line with Nearest To Pin.  “I was nervous waiting for the photo,” Thornton admitted.  “She’s just so honest and tries her backside off every time.”

Vibrant Rouge (5m Written Tycoon – Mirage Rouge by West Point) is raced by owner-breeder Gaston Khougaz and has now earned over $240,000 from 6 wins in 14 starts.  Her dam was empty for four years before foaling another Written Tycoon filly in August.

Khougaz has booked Mirage Rouge and her half sister Jalouse (Delzao) back to Written Tycoon this season.
