Turbo charged win at Warwick

Turbo Teddy gave Queensland based sire Thunder King his first winner in the at Warwick on Tuesday.

Turbo Teddy (2g Thunder King – Marine Rose by Sea Road) is trained locally by Steve Thomas and he won by more than two lengths on debut in the Steels Bakery Maiden Plate (800m).

Thunder King (Sequalo) won 9 races in Queensland and NSW when trained by Brett Bellamy.  He was raced by the Mt Hallen based Rollston family and they stand him for a $2,200 (inc gst) service fee.

His Warwick winner is a half-brother to the Kelso Wood trained mare Marine Gardens (Markane) who won at Doomben last year.  Their dam Marine Rose is a three-quarter-sister to G1 winner Camino Rose (STC Coolmore Classic).

Thunder King is the second son of Sequalo to be represented by a winner following Sammy Sequalo.  He stands at Sleepy Hollow Farm in the Glass House Mountains.
