Triple Crown Fireball by Snitzel

Arrowfield Stud stallions Not A Single Doubt and Snitzel have been playing tit-for-tat for stakes winners this year and the battle continued on Saturday.

Both sons of Redoute’s Choice emerged with five stakes wins apiece in 2016 when the dust settled at Flemington and Randwick.

Not A Single Doubt posted his 31st career stakes winner when Selenia scooted to victory in the Listed VRC Festival of Racing Stakes.

Snitzel took less than two hours to hit back with his 36th lifetime stakes winner Redzel.  He claimed the Listed ATC Fireball Stakes to continue great run of success with Snitzel’s progeny by Triple Crown Syndications.

Triple Crown’s Chris & Michael Ward had already accessed stakes winners Hot Snitzel & Flying Snitzel from Arrowfield and they had to part with $120,000 to buy Redzel at the 21014 Gold Coast Magic Millions.

The Fireball winner was bred by former Eliza Park owner Lee Fleming from Millrich (Rubiton) who was placed behind Flying Spur in the 1995 Golden Slipper.  He will now be set for the G1 The Galaxy March 19 and G2 Arrowfield Sprint on April 9.

Snitzel has 29 lots on offer at next month’s Inglis Easter Sale, including a colt and a filly in the Arrowfield draft.
