Treve honoured at Cartier Awards

Arc de Triomphe winner Treve has been named European Horse of the Year at the 23rd Cartier awards in London.

Treve (Fr) is trained by Criquette Head-Maarek and she was undefeated in all five starts this year for her owner Sheikh Joaan al Thani.  She was also was honoured with the Cartier 3YO Filly Award.

Treve (3f Motivator – Trevise by Anabaa) won the Arc by five lengths despite sitting three wide and being committed at the top of the Longchamp straight by stand-in rider Thierry Jarnet.  Her sire Motivator (Montjeu) won the 2005 English Derby and stands at the Head family’s Haras du Quesnay in Deauville.
