Toronto Dancer – Bred To Win – Friday, 23 October 2009

Coff’s Harbour trainer Gordon Yorke has a strong hand at his home track today and is a big chance of taking out the third event on the card (Race 3 at 3.03pm) with two runners Toronto Dancer and Drama After Drama.

Toronto Dancer (4h Shedad-Natalma Star by Eagle Eyed) looks to be the stronger of the two despite having his first start.  He comes into today’s race on the back of a good trial at Port Macquarie, where he was beaten less than two lengths by Yorke’s exciting sprinter One Lickety Split.

Retained to race by his breeders, Toronto Dancer is by deceased Bletchingly sire Shedad and is the first foal for the lightly raced Natalma Star.

This is the family that has produced multiple city winning Queensland mare Academy Queen (Black Zephyr) and the stakes placed Just Awe (Just Awesome).
