Galileo has sired Group 1 winners in England, Ireland, France, USA and South Africa in 2011 and his first Australian G1 winner this year could come as early as this Saturday in the MRC Underwood Stakes at Caulfield.

The Coolmore champion has stablemates At First Sight and Alandi getting ready for the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups but they can be competitive in the 1800m weight-for-age event.  Owner Lloyd Williams has covered his bases by also entering the Irish bred stayers for the Naturalism Stakes (2000m) on the same card.

Galileo sired his 10th Group 1 winner of the year when Galikova stormed to a two-length victory in the Prix Vermeille at Longchamp on Sunday.

The Freddie Head trained filly is a half sister to champion mare Goldikova (Anabaa).  She will be set for the G1 Arc de Triomphe on October 2.
