Show A Heart has sired his 10th metropolitan winner in a row from the last 10 combined Saturday and Wednesday meetings in Brisbane.
At Eagle Farm on Saturday, Queensland’s reigning champion increased his lead over fellow Glenlogan Park resident Bradbury’s Luck in the race for this year’s crown.
Show A Heart galloper Domini came from last to score impressively yesterday and that sent his sire’s earnings to $3.415 million this season. That’s $160K ahead Bradbury’s Luck.
The Glenlogan pair have been neck and neck for the last few months and they’ve cleared out as the two best sires in the Sunshine State.
Bradbury’s Luck, whose oldest progeny are only five, has produced an incredible 8 black type horses in the last year – headed up by the stakes winners Luckygray, Fire Up Fifi and the very promising She Can Skate.
Despite an exceptional season, Bradbury’s Luck won’t stop an unprecedented fifth consecutive Queensland title for Show A Heart.
Now a rising 16 year-old, Show A Heart has notched up 104 winners this season with another 10 days to increase a career-best season. He has gradually built up the Australian winner strike-rate going from 42 – 50 – 67 – 97 – 99 before breaking the century mark this year.
Show A Heart won’t break his prizemoney record from 2011-12. His stock earned $4.48 million last season and a third of that amount was banked by his stakes winners Woorim, Luke’s Luck, Toorak Toff, Discreet and l Chamber.
