Team Williams sells Tanby at Oaklands

Group 2 winner Tanby headed the unreserved draft from Team Williams at the Inglis Melbourne Racehorse Sale on Friday.

A 99% clearance rate was recorded with buyers from the ACT, Hong Kong, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia.

Nine of the top 10 priced lots at the sale were sold by Team Williams with its draft of 25 lots realising $804,500.  “I would again like to thank Nick and Lloyd Williams for their great support,” Inglis director Peter Heagney said.  “We wish the best of luck to the buyers who ventured from all parts of Australia.”

Group 2 Zipping Classic winner Tanby sold to Bulla Thoroughbreds for $140,000.  Marksmanship was snapped by Ciaron Maher Racing for $120,000, Queensland based trainer John Wallace purchased Ranked for $85,000 while Aquanita purchased Livery and Delivery for $90,000 and $56,000 respectively.
