TBQA President Basil Nolan has congratulated local vendors after a successful QTIS yearling sale conducted by Magic Millions on the Gold Coast.
“Queensland breeders have presented some sensational yearlings here and you can see that from the spirited bidding,” Nolan declared. “We’ve had excellent results in a tough economic climate and it has bucked the trend of many of the other prestigious sales we’ve seen around Australia recently.”
The QTIS Sale average was up 15% to $22,142 on a 77% clearance rate. “Buyers came from all over Queensland, New South Wales and even Victoria and Western Australia,” Nolan added. “Magic Millions were terrific in promoting the sale.”
Nolan pointed to the 200 potential buyers that were brought in from North and Central Queensland on a special tour. “Many of them will be returning with a QTIS yearling,” he explained. “The marketing in the lead up to this sale has been wonderful. Vin Cox and the team at Magic Millions should be pleased with the end result.
“The extension of QTIS to include three year olds has also proved a winner and undoubtedly contributed to the sale’s overall success.”
