Group 3 winner Sookie and untapped filly Peron led a swag of important updates for the Magic Millions National Sale which commences on the Gold Coast on Monday.
Sookie (Casino Prince) is catalogued as Lot 599 and she was an outstanding winner of the G3 Glenlogan Park Stakes on Saturday. She is scheduled to go under the hammer on Wednesday during the opening session of the National Broodmare Sale.
A member of a quality packed draft from Patinack Farm, Sookie looks a great prospect for a new buyer to target further Brisbane winter carnival features over coming weeks. She is from Purple Blood (Encosta de Lago), a daughter of former Champion juvenile Victory Vein.
Lot 1879 in the upcoming National Yearling Sale is a bay colt by Peron’s sire Husson from Victory Vein.
Peron (Husson) looked a stakes winning star for the future when she beat a quality field of fillies and mares at Doomben on Saturday. She is a half sister to the Gai Waterhouse Classic winner Gai’s Choice. It’s the family of G1 winner Eagle Falls – who is a son of Husson’s sire Hussonet.
Peron (Lot 2274) has earned her next start at stakes level and races like the Queensland Guineas and Tattersall’s Tiara could be on the agenda.
Lucia Bella (Fastnet Rock) is another well bred filly heading to the Gold Coast this week with a Wednesday sale date. Prepared by Kris Lees, she broke through at Newcastle on Saturday and looks an ideal racing and breeding prospect.
Lucia Bella (Lot 547) is a full sister to G1 Goodwood Hcp winner Lone Rock – a classy mare with earnings of almost $600,000.
