So You Think wins by six lengths at the Curragh

So You Think (NZ) returned to winning form with an easy six-length victory in the G1 Tattersalls Gold Cup (2100m) at the Curragh on Sunday.

Since taking the Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown in September, So You Think had failed to win in subsequent starts at Longchamp, Ascot, Churchill Downs and Dubai.

So You Think (6h High Chaparral – Triassic by Tights) relished being back on turf and, after swooping to the lead two furlongs from home, he had the race settled in a matter of strides.  “He is in the Prince Of Wales and Queen Anne at Royal Ascot,” trainer Aidan O’Brien said.  “The Coral Eclipse is likely to be his last race in Europe before he enters quarantine and goes back to Australia for stud duties.”

So You Think (NZ) has had an illustrious career since being sold through the 2008 NZ Bloodstock Premier sale ring for $110,000.  He won two Cox Plates for Bart Cummings before a controversial transfer to O’Brien.
