So You Think to serve southern book this spring

Coolmore Stud has confirmed So You Think will end his racing career in time to cover his first southern book in the Hunter Valley this spring.

The five year-old stallion could sign off in the G1 Coral-Eclipse in July before entering quarantine.  The Sandown feature is also expected to be on Frankel’s agenda this summer.

“So You Think will join the roster at Coolmore Australia in September,” a stud spokesman said.  “He will stand alongside (other newcomers) Musir, Uncle Mo and Zoffany.”

So You Think won back-to-back G1 Cox Plates for Bart Cummings before transferring to Ballydoyle trainer Aidan O’Brien.  He added G1 gongs in the Tattersalls Gold Cup, Coral-Eclipse and Irish Champion Stakes.

The NZ bred son of High Chaparral was last seen finishing fourth behind Monterosso in the Dubai World Cup on March 31.  He holds entries in the G3 Mooresbridge Stakes at the Curragh on May 7 and Lockinge Stakes at Newbury on May 19.
