Black Caviar will be served by Arrowfield Stud stallion Snitzel this month.
The world champion sprinter has a yearling filly by Exceed and Excel and she foaled a colt by Sebring on September 23.
“Black Caviar has given us a lot to look forward to with both foals to date,” part-owner Gary Wilkie said. “The Exceed And Excel is an outstanding filly and the Sebring colt has a huge amount of quality and his mother’s laid-back approach to life.”
Black Caviar (Bel Esprit) retired after an unbeaten 25 start career headed by Group 1 victories in the Royal Ascot Golden Jubilee Stakes, VRC Lightning (3), VRC Patinack Farm Classic (2), ATC T.J. Smith Stakes (2), MVRC William Reid Stakes (2) and VRC Newmarket Handicap.
Her peak Timeform rating of 136 ranks alongside Todman, Vain & Manikato and is the highest figure ever earned by a mare racing in Australia.
Snitzel (Redoute’s Choice) counts Shamus Award (MVRC Cox Plate), Snitzerland (VRC Lightning Stakes), Hot Snitzel (BTC Cup), Sweet Idea (ATC The Galaxy) and Wandjina (VRC Australian Guineas) among his leading performers. He stands at Arrowfield for an $88,000 (inc gst) fee.
