A three-in-one Serenade Lily package topped the Inglis Summer Sale in Sydney on Friday. The King’s Best mare was sold to agent Sheamus Mills for $130,000.
Serenade Lily is a half-sister to classic filly Serenade Rose (Stravinsky) and was a Ballarat maiden winner for Lee Freedman. She was sold by Brooklyn Lodge with a Stravinsky filly at foot and in foal to Foxwedge.
Second on the leader-board was Voltdanze (Danzero) who went to Paul Willetts Bloodstock for $105,000. She paraded with a Lonhro filly and is in foal to Sebring.
Next best was Lemon Ruski (Desert King). She was sold with a Husson colt at foot and found a new home at Rothwell Park for $92,500.
The sale finished with trade of $2.06 million at an average of $12,840 and a clearance rate of 93%. The unreserved Patinack Farm reduction sale of broodmares and racing stock was a drawcard and grossed over $1 million.
