Runs on the board for Onemorenomore

Vinery sire Onemorenomore has unearthed a precocious youngster among his latest crop of two year-olds in Perth.

One More Run is prepared by Ascot trainer Stefan Vahala for owner Martin Allan and looked an early-comer winning a Belmont Park barrier trial on Monday.  He showed a quick turn of foot to defeat Lucky Street (Oratorio) and Fremond (Not A Single Doubt).

“He’s pulled up well from the trial,” Vahala reported.  “He should be a contender for early two-year-old races.”

Perth’s first juvenile event of the season is the $60,000 Initial Plate (1000m) at Belmont on October 11.

One More Run (2g Onemorenomore – Sassy Minx by Awesome Again) is one of 109 foals from his sire’s second crop.  His dam a sister to G2 Aqueduct Demoiselle Stakes winner Springsure and she has a yearling filly by Vinery sire Casino Prince.

Onemorenomore is also the sire of Perth based gelding Tonto who signed off his last campaign with a four-length victory at Ascot.  He is being set for the G2 WA Guineas on November 22.

Vinery will stand Onemorenomore for a $13,200 (inc gst) fee this year.  He is a son of Vinery foundation sire Red Ransom and was a Group 1 winner of the 2009 Champagne Stakes (1600m) at Randwick.
