Arrowfield Stud signed off on an outstanding season with a trio of smart 3YO city winners by its sensational father-and-son act of Redoute’s Choice and Snitzel.
Redoute’s Choice fillies She’s Clean and Bonaria scored handsome victories at Warwick Farm and Caulfield respectively while Snitzel’s promising son I Get Around showed plenty of grit to post his fourth straight win at Warwick Farm.
She’s Clean (3f Redoute’s Choice – Feather Duster by End Sweep) has now won three of her six starts for the Ingham family and is likely to step out in better company. It’s been a good season for Feather Duster whose Snitzel colt Windswept was an impressive debut winner at Canterbury last month.
Feather Duster has a new-season 2YO sister to Windswept, a yearling filly by Flying Spur and is due to foal to Not A Single Doubt.
Bonaria (3f Redoute’s Choice – Decidity by Last Tycoon) races for owner-breeders Robert and Deborah Anderson. She also recorded her third win and, like She’s Clean, took her earnings beyond the $100,000 mark.
I Get Around (3f Snitzel – Sybarite by Last Tycoon) was bred by Arrowleave Joint Venture which is Arrowfield’s partnership with long-time client and friend John Leaver. She is raced in partnership by trainer Paul Perry who picked him up for $45,000 at the 2010 Inglis Scone yearling sale
His dam Sybarite has subsequently produced a colt and a filly to Not A Single Doubt and she is due to foal to Beneteau this spring.
Redoute’s Choice ended the 2011-12 Australian season with more than 130 winners, including 12 stakeswinners, and prizemoney of $8.6 million.
Snitzel is his first son to join him in the Top 10 on the sires’ premiership and is the leading third crop sire with more than 60 winners, 6 stakeswinners and $5.7 million in earnings.
In 2012, Redoute’s Choice will stand for $137,500 (inc gst) while Snitzel’s fee is $33,000 (inc gst).
