Red Arrow catalogued for Great Southern Sale

Former Blue Gum Farm stallion Red Arrow is on the market and has been catalogued for the Inglis Great Southern Sale at Oaklands Junction next month.

Red Arrow (Red Ransom) stood his first season at Lincoln Farm in the Hunter Valley in 2010 prior to Blue Gum buying into the horse with agent Denis Roberts and major shareholder Terry Lillis.

His oldest are three year-olds and include the winners Typsy On Red, Marley’s Mission, Raise A Red & Ricciardo plus the Singapore winners Silent Arrow & Lucky Six.

Red Arrow was trained by Anthony Cummings and was stakes placed in the G3 Bletchingly Stakes and LR John Monash Stakes at Caulfield.  He subsequently relocated to California and was successful in the G3 Los Angeles Hcp (1200m) at Hollywood Park in a bullet 1.08.92s.

The family is bursting with black-type.  He is a half-brother to G3 Hong Kong winner Able Choice and the dam of G1 Oakleigh Plate winner Mrs Onassis.  Their dam Lady Jakeo (Last Tycoon) was a Group 1 winner of the MRC Blue Diamond Stakes and MVRC Australia Stakes.

Red Arrow is listed as Lot 619 and he will be the last to parade at the third session of the Great Southern Sale on Tuesday, June 23.
