PPB Advisory, the Receivers of Lee Fleming Thoroughbreds, has entered 26 horses for the Inglis Weanling and Bloodstock Sale in Sydney on June 24 and 25.
Eliza Park was placed in receivership after the deadline for its sale passed on April 26. It operates breeding, agistment and racing ventures in Victoria and Queensland. Together, there were 14 stallions on its rosters in 2012 headed by Bel Esprit and Wanted.
“Lee Fleming has been a good client of our company and a valuable contributor to our industry for many years, this is a most unfortunate situation,” Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster said. “The dispersal offers breeders a rare opportunity to acquire top quality bloodstock, including two mares closely related to Black Caviar.
“This dispersal has no direct impact on Eliza Park Stud,” Webster said. “It continues to operate under the direction of the Receivers, with whom we are working to finalise a sale of the property and stallion interests.”
There has been industry speculation a sale to an international buyer will be announced in the next week.
