Real Quiet shuttles to Uruguay

Real Quiet will stand the upcoming southern hemisphere season in Uruguay.

Real Quiet, who shuttled to Vinery Australia, won five G1 races including the 1998 Kentucky Derby and Preakness.  He finished his career with six wins from 20 starts and earnings of $3.2 million.

Real Quiet (Quiet American) stands for US $7,500 at Penn Ridge Farms in Pennsylvania.  His North American bred runners include 2007 Champion US Sprinter Midnight Lute and G1 winners Pussycat Doll and Wonder Lady Anne L.

Real Quiet sired 135 foals in three visits to Australia between 2000 and 2002.  Tommifrancs, a Listed winner of the NSW Tattersall’s Club Cup, VRC Bagot Handicap and Wagga Gold Cup was his best runner and his only other southern stakes winners were Lady Natasha (Perth) and Really Flying (Scone).

Real Quiet’s lease to Haras Cuatro Piedras marks the first time that a stallion from anywhere in the world shuttles to Uruguay.
