Professional filly at Randwick

Not A Single Doubt’s first winner of the new season epitomises the professionalism that make his progeny so popular with trainers.

His filly Never Doubt Me improved her record to 5 wins in 9 starts with an all-the-way victory in the ATC Bronte Handicap at Randwick on Saturday.  She kicked clear off the rise to win by three lengths despite giving weight to placegetters Shuswap and Gliding.

Arrowfield resident Not A Single Doubt has now sired 100 winners of 223 races at a 63% strike-rate.

Never Doubt Me (3f Not A Single Doubt – Anna Liffey by Dieu d’Or) is part-owned and trained by Neil Godbolt.  She has earned $104,580 plus a $20,000 BOBS bonus at Randwick.

“She has been a very honest little filly for us,” Godbolt said.  “There’s probably a fair chance she will have a break for awhile as she has done a good job and you cannot be too greedy.”

Godbolt purchased Never Doubt Me for $8,000 from the Toolooganvale draft at the 2010 Inglis June Winter Sale.  She is a half-sister to 14-time winner Silver Street.

Not A Single Doubt will stand the 2011 season at a fee of $24,750 (inc. gst) at Arrowfield.
