Lucky Sabre (GB) sired his first winner when Private Eyes was successful at Pinjarra on Sunday.
Private Eyes (3f Lucky Sabre – Glance Away by Surtee) had been placed on debut at Pinjarra earlier this month and returned a winner after reeling in the leaders in the TAB Touch Maiden (1200m).
Wattle Grove based owner-trainer Angie Dunkley bred the filly from Glance Away who won her maiden at Pinjarra in January 2006. Jockey Jason Whiting was on board that day and he also steered her daughter home on Sunday.
Glance Away has a yearling filly by Spirit of Bunbury and a filly foal by Kendel Star.
Lucky Sabre (Sabrehill) was bred by Stetchworth Park in Newmarket and won six races in Hong Kong before retiring to Korilya Stud. He sired just 21 foals in six seasons at stud.
