Positive start for Raheen Stud at Magic Millions

Raheen Stud started the Gold Coast Magic Millions on a positive note when its Sebring colt sold to Peter Moody for $180,000 on Wednesday morning.

Parading as Lot 1, the Sebring – La Goulue colt attracted support around the sale-ring until Moody got the better of under-bidder Gai Waterhouse.   “He’s an outstanding athlete,” Raheen’s Basil Nolan jnr said.  “We knew there were a few buyers on him after the pre-sale inspections.”

The Sebring colt is from a half-sister to Group 1 winners Gimmethegreenlight & Ofcourseican and he is also from the immediate family of Moody’s talented Melbourne sprinter Club Command.

The next Raheen yearling to parade among its 14 lots catalogued on the Gold Coast is the Show A Heart – Slieve Bloom colt (Lot 250) on Thursday.
