Planet Five popular at Touchstone Farm

Touchstone Farm sire Planet Five tops the roster at the North Dandalup stud in 2012.  The USA bred sprinter was popular with Sunspeed breeders when covering his first book in Western Australia last year.

Planet Five (Storm Cat) was trained by Pascal Bary for the Niarchos family and his crowning achievement came in the G2 Prix du Gros Chene (1000m) at Chantilly in June 2010.  His dam Six Perfections was a G1 winner of the Prix Marcel Boussac and Jacques Le Marois before an epic win in the 2003 Breeders’ Cup Mile at Santa Anita.

Associate sire Vital Equine (Danetime) stood one season in Europe and didn’t return after arriving here in 2008.  His sole northern crop contains 8 winners to date.  His first Australian crop of two year-olds is headed by Wombie’s Legacy who has won his last two outings at Belmont.

Touchstone Farm is also home to Flying Pegasus (Fusaichi Pegasus).  There have been 15 winners from his first crop including G2 WA Guineas winner King Saul.  His fee will be announced next month.

Proven sire Danasinga (Danehill) stood at Touchstone last year but he has been repatriated to Baerami Thoroughbreds in the Hunter Valley.
