Patinack Farm reduction of in-foal mares

Patinack Farm has listed a selection 19 in-foal broodmares for sale as part of its annual reduction in stock.

“The decision to reduce the mare numbers has been thought through carefully with some quality mares among them,” Patinack Farm manager Ben Lawrence said  “All being offered are in-foal to our very own quality young stallions including the current leading first season sire in Australia Husson.

“The majority of the foals will also be eligible for a 50% claim in Patinack Farm’s $1m Breeders’ Bonus Scheme once they hit the track.”

Patinack Farm’s G1 French 2000 Guineas – Derby winner Lope De Vega is represented by two mares.  He emulated his sire Shamardal in the classic double and the apple not falling far from the tree in terms of his well-conformed, robust physique as well.

Darley shuttler Shamardal was absent from the Australian sire ranks in 2011 making these prospective foals even more appealing.

Other exciting young Patinack Farm sires represented as covering sires include Casino Prince, Husson, Monaco Consul, Murtajil, Raheeb, Teranaba and Wonderful World.
