One Last Dance alive for $1 million bonus

Regally-bred filly One Last Dance remained in the running for a $1 million bonus after winning the G3 Blue Diamond Prelude (Fillies) at Caulfield on Saturday.

One Last Dance (2f Encosta De Lago – One World by Danehill) will collect the seven-figure bonus offered by Patinack Farm if she wins the G1 Blue Diamond Stakes on February 26.

The Peter Moody trained filly won on debut at Moonee Valley in December and then added the LR Blue Diamond Preview on Australia Day before completing the hat-trick on Saturday.

One Last Dance is a homebred for John Camilleri’s Fairway Thoroughbreds and she is currently priced a $6.50 second favourite behind Sepoy ($2.20) for the Blue Diamond Stakes.  Moody won the Blue Diamond with Reward For Effort in 2009.

The beautifully bred daughter of Coolmore Stud champion Encosta De Lago is from G3 Flemington 2YO winner One World.  Second dam Prawn Cocktail (Artichoke) is a half-sister to Royal Academy and the dam of Storm Cat.

Coolmore has a Hussonet half-brother to One Last Dance (Lot 384) catalogued for the 2011 Inglis Easter yearling sale.
