Nothin’ Leica Dane transfers to Cangon Stud

Nothin’ Leica Dane will transfer to Cangon Stud on the fringe of the NSW Hunter Valley for the 2010 season.  The Danehill stallion has been based at Byerley Stud for 12 years but will relocate after Martin Hawcroft’s recent decision to sell the Sandy Hollow property.

His transfer comes a day after news of Sharkbite’s move from Byerley to Eliza Park.

Nothin’ Leica Dane was a G1 winner of VRC Victoria Derby and AJC Spring Champion Stakes.  He has sired 194 winners at a 54% strike-rate and his best runner to date has been Sydney favourite Hot Danish.  The Les Bridge trained mare broke through for her first victory at G1 level in the All Aged Stakes at Randwick last Saturday.

Cangon Stud is operated by Jamie Mackay and is home to G3 VRC Gilgai Stakes winner Recapitalize (Royal Academy) and Gunpowder (Danehill).
