Incoming sires Press Statement and Headwater will launch a new-look roster at Vinery Stud’s annual stallion parade on August 20 and 21.
They are the first additions to Vinery’s line-up since champion colt All Too Hard retired in 2013. Reaching his popularly will be a tall order but both newcomers are sure to catch the eye and build their books during the weekend parades.
More Than Ready’s eagerly-awaited return is one week down into a three-week spell in quarantine. ANZ Bloodstock published a picture of the champ on Thursday morning with a Vinery tweet tagged “looks unreal & ready for the stallion parades”.
He arrives back in the Hunter Valley a few days before inspections and will receive a hero’s welcome after an outstanding year in both hemispheres.
It doesn’t seem that long ago Vinery launched All Too Hard and now he’s getting ready for a fourth book of mares! His 2yo colts and fillies will start progressing at the pointy end of the autumn carnival but there are reports of a several precocious ones among the first crop.
Prominent 2016 sires Mossman, Testa Rossa, Myboycharlie, Pluck and Husson round out a 10-horse roster on show at Vinery which is located in Segenhoe Road, Scone
