More Military Magic for Heinrichs

Hoss Heinrich gave All Too Hard the tick of approval after paying $500,000 for a filly from his former top-class stakes winner Military Rose on Wednesday.

Heinrich and his wife Gillian targeted the filly when she paraded as Lot 84 from Baramul Stud on Day 1 of the Gold Magic Millions.  “She’s the best All Too Hard I’ve seen,” he said.  “I bought an All Too Hard at Stuart Ramsey’s dispersal sale last year and we sent Kala’s Belle to him this season.”

The Heinrichs raced Military Rose to juvenile wins in the Reisling Stakes Gr.2, Magic Millions 2YO Classic RL, Calaway Gal Stakes LR and B J McLachlan Stakes LR.  The General Nediym filly returned the following season to win the Gold Coast Guineas Gr.3.

They sold Military Rose to Baramul Stud for $800,000 at the 2011 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale.  “This one is a dead-ringer for the mare,” Heinrich added.   “And All Too Hard has added size and scope.  She really is a lovely filly.”

Baramul Stud manager Paul Thompson said he knew the filly was going to make money, however, a half-million was more than they expected.  “She’s an extremely good mover and a lot of the good judges were on her.  She was busy during inspections and handled the pressure really well.”

All Too Hard stands at Vinery Stud he has a total of 33 lots to go through the Gold Coast sale-ring during the five sessions of the Magic Millions Yearling Sale.
