More Memories at Aqueduct

More Than Ready filly Consumer Credit notched her third black-type victory in the LR Memories of Silver Stakes at Aqueduct on Thursday.

Consumer Credit was coming off a runner-up finish in the G3 Florida Oaks and she held off Pine Needles (Giant’s Causeway) to win the 1700m contest on turf by a neck.

The three year-old filly started a long-odds on favourite in the soft going and was a class above her rivals to make it 4 wins in 7 starts and over $255,000 in prizemoney.  Her black-type priors had been at Gulfstream Park in the LR Wait a While Stakes and G3 Sweetest Chant Stakes.

Bred in Kentucky by Stonestreet Thoroughbreds, Consumer Credit changed hands for $185,000 at the 2013 Keeneland September yearlings sale.  She is from South African Group 2 winner Sally Bowles (London News).

Consumer Credit is one of 140 stakes winner by the Vinery champion and his next black-type starters this Saturday include Pienkna (LR Silk Stocking), Feels Like Home (G3 Gold Coast Guineas) and Knoydart (G2 Victory Stakes) at the Gold Coast and More Than Most (LR Anzac Day Stakes) at Flemington.

Earlier this week, Vinery announced More Than Ready’s service fee will remain unchanged at $66,000 (inc gst) this year.
