Miracle filly from Arrowfield

Unbeaten filly Miracles Of Life continued Arrowfield Stud’s domination of the two year-old division this season in the LR Blue Diamond Fillies Preview (1000m) at Caulfield on Saturday.

Miracles Of Life (2f Not A Single Doubt – Dazzling Gazelle by More Than Ready) bolted in by four lengths at Caulfield following two runaways by a combined margin of 14 lengths in Adelaide.

Bookmakers immediately installed the Dan Clarken trained filly into a $3.30 favourite for the G1 Blue Diamond Stakes.  Dissident (Sebring) won the Colts division of the Blue Diamond Preview on Saturday and he is priced at $17 for the G1 Grand Final on February 23.

“She’s always shown a bit,” Clarken explained.  “She’s very small but makes up for it with heart.”

Connections will have to pay a $55,000 late entry fee for the Blue Diamond.  “We will get her home and see how everything goes but it will be straight into the Diamond now,” Clarken said.  “She hasn’t taken a backward step – they will have to be pretty good to beat her.”

The chestnut daughter of Not A Single Doubt is a homebred for Teeley Assets owner Muzaffar Yaseen.  Arrowfield’s champion racehorse and stallion Redoute’s Choice also raced in his colours and Not A Single Doubt is among his leading sire sons.

Not A Single Doubt started the juvenile season with Villa Verde winning the LR Debutants Stakes at Caulfield and LR Ottawa Stakes at Flemington.  Trainer Shaun Dwyer has set her for the G1 Golden Slipper in April.

Fellow Arrowfield resident Charge Forward sired Assail to a feature win in the Wyong 2YO Magic Millions and he has also been represented by Direct Charge (G3 VRC Maribyrnong Plate) and Crack A Roadie (MVRC Inglis Banner Stakes).

Snitzel has been equally effective with his brilliant filly Sweet Idea going down a short-neck by Real Surreal in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic.  The Gai Waterhouse trained youngster had won on debut at Randwick.

Real Surreal’s sire Real Saga heads the Australian 2YO premiership with earnings of $1.39 million.  He is followed by Arrowfield sires Charge Forward ($663,000), Snitzel ($609,000) and Not a Single Doubt ($413,000).
