Mint Lane first in Malaysia

Willow Grove stallion Mint Lane (USA) sired his first winner in Malaysia on Sunday.

Beyond Wealth (2g Mint Lane – Wings Of Alice by Testa Rossa) made the breakthrough in the Nolen Racing 2YO Trophy (1200m) at Perak.  He was racing for the third time for Lucky Nine Stable after earlier placings in Penang.

Setting the pace from the outset, he ran home a two length winner over Truson (Al Maher) and After Me (Mint Lane).

Beyond Wealth is a $28,000 graduate of the 2013 Adelaide Magic Millions.  His dam Wings Of Alice won a Donald maiden for Limerick Lane owner Gerry Ryan and she was purchased off the track by Willow Grove owner Ralph Satchell for $7,500 at the 2010 Inglis Great Southern Sale.

Mint Lane (Maria’s Mon) has been represented by 4 Australian two year-olds to date with the best of them being last-start Launceston runner-up Cool Kisses.

A Group 2 winner of the Dwyer Stakes at Belmont, he stands for a $3,300 (inc gst) fee at Willow Grove in South Australia.
