Midday first mare to visit Frankel

Juddmonte has revealed champion mare Midday will be the first mare to visit its world champion Frankel.

Midday delivered a Galileo colt on January 16.  “He’s strong and muscular,” Juddmonte stud manager Simon Mockridge said.  “Overall, an excellent first foal.”

Like Frankel, Midday (Oasis Dream) was trained by Sir Henry Cecil for Juddmonte’s Prince Khalid Abdullah and her claim to fame was a hat-trick of G1 victories the Nassau Stakes at Goodwood.

Midday and her dam Midsummer are among 60 mares booked to Juddmonte’s new resident to have either won a Group 1 or produced a top-flight winner.  A select book of 130 mares await the Juddmonte superstar when he starts covering at a fee of 125,000 pounds this week.
