Glenlogan Park sire Bradbury’s Luck will be looking to register his first Group 1 success when outstanding filly Ringa Ringa Rosie lines up as the probable favourite in the $500,000 G1 T J Smith (1600m) at Eagle Farm on Saturday.

Ringa Ringa Rosie has stamped herself as a filly of enormous potential with her last couple of runs and, with any luck in running on Saturday, should prove hard to hold out on a dry track.

Trainer Bevan Laming has been thrilled with the way his filly has come through her last start and all is in readiness for a strong performance tomorrow.  “There is little doubt she should have won again last time,” Bevan said.  “Her effort was outstanding and she has come through that in terrific order.

“I really couldn’t be happier with her and, as long as there is enough pace in the race, she is ready to let down and prove very hard to beat.  She is a genuine Group 1 quality filly and I think we will see that on Saturday.”

Regardless of whether this Bradbury’s Luck youngster wins, loses or draws tomorrow – she will be sent to the spelling paddocks with the G1 MRC Thousand Guineas in the spring as her next target.

Ringa Ringa Rosie’s main opponent tomorrow looks to be the impressive Chris Waller trained Pressday who is a first crop son of Domesday.  He has a very similar background to Glenlogan Park’s freshman sire Red Element – with both being very talented racehorses by Red Ransom and having a great female family to back it up.

Domesday’s start to his stallion career and another son of Red Ransom in Charge Forward’s impressive stud record gives Glernlogan Park tremendous confidence in Red Element looking to the future.

Glenlogan Park sire Jet Spur will be hoping to stay in the race for Australia’s Champion Sire of 2YO’s by winners and Australia’s Champion First Season Sire by winners when he has a couple of youngsters lining up in the next few days who may be able to help his cause.

Although Jet Spur and Stratum share the same number of winners throughout all countries (at 13 apiece), Stratum has sneaked one ahead in Australia through sheer weight of numbers to be leading 12 winners to 11.  Overall, Jet Spur’s winners-to-runners is 43.5% (with 13 from just 30) and that’s the best in the country!
