Lisa in command at Keeneland

War Chant filly Enchanting Lisa will be set for a Group 2 at Churchill Downs next month after romping to a three-length victory at Keeneland on Wednesday.

Enchanting Lisa (4f War Chant – Lisa Danielle by Wolf Power) began awkwardly before going forward to stalk the pace under Rosie Napravnik.  She took command in the straight and drew away to land the $58,000 allowance over 1400 metres.

“That was nice,” trainer Charlie LoPresti said.  “Rosie said she didn’t have to do a thing.”

Enchanting Lisa is a younger half-sister to champion galloper Wise Dan who was voted USA Horse of the Year in 2012 and 2013.  She had won her maiden by 7 lengths on debut at Presque Island Downs in June 2013.

Her next assignment is likely to be the G2 Chilukki Stakes (1600m) at Churchill Downs on November 1.

War Chant (USA) is now based permanently in Western Australia at Yarradale Stud.  His first Sunspeed-bred stock are two year-olds and he stands for a $17,600 (inc gst) service fee.
