Juddmonte influence in Ranvet

Juddmonte Farms continued its influence on the international stage when Foreteller landed Saturday’s G1 Ranvet Stakes at Rosehill.

Juddmonte owner Prince Khalid Abdullah lived the dream of every breeder with Frankel and the superstar colt is currently covering his first book of mares at stud.  Frankel is based at Juddmonte’s Banstead Manor Farm in Newmarket alongside Foreteller’s sire Dansili.

Foreteller (6g Dansili – Prophecy by Warning) ran down G1 Victorian Derby winner Fiveandahalfstar to score by half a length in the Ranvet.  It was his first victory at the elite level after previous black-type wins in the G2 Peter Young Stakes and G3 David Jones Cup at Caulfield.

Foreteller (GB) had won races at Maisons-Laffitte (2) and Deauville when Chris Waller bought him from Juddmonte for 100,000gns (AUD 153,000) at the 2010 Tattersalls HIT Sale.  He is also a three-quarter brother to Destined, a daughter of Juddmonte homebred Danehill.

Destined had been bought by Paul Moroney at the Tattersalls December Sale in 2005.  Exported to New Zealand, she later foaled Fix (Iffraaj) who has just been confirmed as NZB Filly of the Year for 2013.

Foreteller’s dam Prophecy (Warning) was a G1 winner of the 1993 Cheveley Park Stakes.  Second dam Andaleeb (Lyphard) was a Lancashire Oaks winner and third dam Bag Of Tunes (Herbager) won a Kentucky Oaks.

Dansili is a son of Danehill and among his 12 Group 1 winners are Rail Link (Arc de Triomphe) and Harbinger (King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes).  He stands for an 80,000 pounds (AUD 116,620) fee at Juddmonte.
