Irish Champion Stakes next for So You Think

So You Think is likely to have his next start in the G1 Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown on September 3.  The NZ bred champion hasn’t been seen since winning the Coral-Eclipse at Sandown on July 2.

So You Think has also been entered for the Cox Plate in October along with stablemate Cape Blanco.  No decision will be made on his likely program until after the Champion Stakes.

”He can run at Leopardstown and then go into quarantine for a trip to Australia,” Coolmore manager Tom Magnier said.  “But there are a couple of other races that would suit him closer to home.”

So You Think’s trainer Aidan O’Brien has won the Irish Champion Stakes six times since 2000.  His sire High Chaparral won the race in 2003.
