Inglis Melbourne Autumn yearling sale on-line

The catalogue for the Inglis Melbourne Autumn yearling sale to be held on April 22 & 23 is now online at www.inglis.com.au.  The Autumn Sale is big on value, as Group 1 winners like Pompeii Ruler, Grand Journey and Lazer Sharp attest.  Each could have been purchased for under $20,000.

“Buyers recognise is consistently gets results that outperform the corresponding purchase prices,” Inglis Director Peter Heagney said.  “Few sales in the world could boast improvement from 2008 to 2009 but the Melbourne Autumn Yearling Sale experiencing significant growth in average, aggregate and clearance rate.

“The increase in the size of the catalogue by an additional 130 horses this year reflects the confidence vendors have in this sale and we appreciate their support.”

All graduates are eligible to be nominated for the $2.6 million Inglis Race Series, which includes the $100,000 Inglis Autumn Plate.  The 2010 Inglis Autumn Plate for graduates of last year’s sale is being run at Seymour on April 20 – two days prior to the sale.

Current graduates include classy juvenile She’s Got Gears, a Listed winner in Melbourne Cup week who was a $45,000 purchase for trainer Robbie Laing. 

Unbeaten three-year-old Our Baby Bonus is another flag-bearer. The son of Dash For Cash was a $42,500 purchase for trainer Mick Price. He made it three from three when winning at Moonee Valley last month and better races await.
