Inglis has announced the launch of a Ready 2 Race Sale at Newmarket on Thursday, October 3. It will be held two days prior to the G1 Epsom Handicap meeting at Randwick.
The Select Sydney Ready 2 Race Sale will feature two and three-year-olds prepared to service the increasing demand for readymade racehorses for the Australian and Asian markets.
“We have already received confirmed support from leading pin-hookers across Australia and New Zealand,” Inglis managing director Mark Webster said. “Given the popularity of Inglis yearlings at last year’s breeze up sales throughout Australasia, we anticipate that support to grow.
“Breeze-ups will be conducted in New Zealand and Sydney in September,” Webster said. “It will be selective in order to maintain a high standard to a growing buying bench. We are targeting professional breeze up vendors to support the sale and offering them attractive financial terms.”
Vendors who nominate prior to July 1 will receive a 50% discount on the standard entry fee of $1,100 (inc gst). A 50% reduction on nomination fees will also be offered to yearlings purchased from Inglis.
Webster also announced NZ bloodstock agent Michael Wallace has been retained by Inglis to assist with the conduct of this new sale, including vendor liaison, buyer recruitment and facilitating breeze ups in New Zealand.
