Inglis graduates in 2YO Top 10

Inglis was the only sales company in the southern hemisphere to sell a 2YO rated in the Top 10 in Australia last season.

Homebreds for Darley and Gooree had a great two-year-old season with Sepoy, Helmet, Benfica and Smart Missile but outside that quartet, Inglis graduates shone with each of the three major yearling sales well represented in the Top 10.

Easter youngsters Foxwedge (Fastnet Rock) – $925,000, Elite Falls (More Than Ready) – $300,000 and Mosheen (Fastnet Rock) – $250,000 proved themselves right up with the best of the season, with the latter two placing in the Golden Slipper.

Uate (Ad Valorem) – $47,500 and Pane In The Glass (Testa Rossa) – $32,000 flew the flag for Classic, while Masthead (Written Tycoon) – $65,000 was a consistent performer from the Premier.

“Darley made a clean sweep of the Group 1 features so everyone involved deserves the highest accolades,” Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster said.  “But the Top 10 list underlines how buyers at Inglis yearling sales continue to reap the rewards.  Inglis has sold 12 individual Australian 2YO Group 1 winners in the past six seasons.”

Nominations are now open for the 2012 Inglis Yearling Sale series.
