Inglis finalises Scone Broodmare Sale

The catalogue for next month’s 2012 Inglis Scone Broodmare Sale is now available.

Conducted at White Park on Friday, August 24, the Scone Sale is scheduled just prior to the popular stallion parade weekend and the approaching breeding season.  It’s online at:  www.inglis.com.au

Leading the list of 99 entries so far is stakes winning Strada filly Charm’s Honour.  The Greg Bennett trainee opened her career with a winning hat-trick culminating on her home track at Scone.

Charm’s Honour (3f Strada – She’s Got Charm by Bletcharm) came up just a half-neck short of top filly Streama when going for four straight in the LR Keith Mackay Quality in April 2011.  She lobbed at Listed level in Doomben’s Mode Plate later in the year.

“The timing of the sale represents a great opportunity for breeders to top up broodmare bands,” Inglis Bloodstock Director Jonathan D’Arcy said.  “They’re readymade breeding prospects right on the eve of the new breeding season.”

Race fillies straight off the track include Crystal Doll (Falvelon), Pale (Ad Valorem) and North Pole Dancer (Anabaa) who is from a sister to the dam of Samantha Miss.  Entries also include stakes producing Zabeel mares Zarissa and Infringe.

Covering stallions of broodmares for sale include All American, Beneteau, Congrats, Duke Of Marmalade, Denman, I Am Invincible, Magic Albert, Myboycharlie, Not A Single Doubt, Sebring, Starcraft, Stratum, Teofilo, Time Thief and Zizou

Vendors are reminded that supplementary entries for the sale, which recorded an 88% clearance rate last year, will be taken until Friday, August 17.
