Happy days ahead of Happy Hannah

More Than Ready filly Happy Hannah looked every inch a classic winner powering home in the All Too Hard Hcp (1600m) at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.

The victory impressed everyone and she immediately firmed into $11 for the G1 Australian Oaks at Randwick on April 9.  “She’s an exciting filly,” jockey Blake Shinn said.  “She can accelerate and there are happy days ahead.”

Happy Hannah had won a Hawkesbury maiden last month and she led home a More Than Ready quinella from stablemate Falkenberg who also holds a nomination for the Australian Oaks.  “She settles really well and is a quality filly,” trainer Peter Snowden said.  “She’s untapped and there’s a lot more to come.”

An Australian Oaks victory would make three Group 1 winning fillies by More Than Ready from his 2011 book at Vinery following Perfect Reflection (G1 Kingston Town Classic) and Entisaar (G1 Allan Robertson Championship).

Happy Hannah (3f More Than Ready – Absolute Joy by Zabeel) is a homebred for John Singleton and is from the celebrated Denise’s Joy family that includes his More Than Ready champion More Joyous.

Singleton also bred and part-owns More Than Ready’s last-start G2 Todman Stakes winner Kiss And Make Up who has shortened into $8 for the G1 Golden Slipper Stakes on March 19.
