Glenlogan Park stallions firing in Perth

Perth has been a happy hunting ground for Glenlogan Park sires Falvelon and Show A Heart in recent months and the winners continued to roll last Saturday at Ascot when the Dan Morton trained Jevbon scored by a length in the Westspeed 2yo Plate (1200m).

Jevbon (2g Falvelon-Our Bonny Lass by Ron Bon) was always traveling like a winner.  He stalked the leaders into the straight before switching off heels and charging to the line under a hands and heels ride.

Morton, who has been busy mapping out G1 campaigns for Scenic Shot (Doomben Cup) and Scenic Blast (Royal Ascot), has a big opinion of Jevbon.

“He has got a few tricks this horse but he also possesses plenty of ability,” Morton said.  “He ducks away from the whip but Willie (Pike) can get the best out of a horse under hands and heels.”

Jevbon was retained to race by owner-breeder Elio Galante who has been a big supporter of Glenlogan Park stallions in recent years.  He also owns the recent Show A Heart winners Angelic Heart and her older brother Two Strong Hearts.  Show A Heart sired a third Perth winner recently when Golden Heart saluted at Ascot.

Jevbon is the fourth winner for Our Bonny Lass who won 10 races and was runner up in the Listed WATC Emu Export Classic Handicap.  He hails from the same family as former grey flyers Jungle Dawn and Jungle Mist.

Our Bonny Lass has a yearling colt by Show A Heart and a weanling filly by fellow Glenlogan Park sire Jet Spur (Flying Spur).
